Riven Challenge: Kill 5 Dargyn Pilots before they hit the ground

Riven Challenge: Kill 5 Dargyn Pilots before they hit the ground

This Riven challenge can be done very fast and easy if RNG is on your side today or take annoying long time to finsh! Notice that the Dargyns only spawn on Plains of Eidolon during the day so don’t waste your time running around searching for some to kill during the night.

Notice: The pilots must be killed AFTER the Dargyn has been destroyed and BEFORE the body hit the ground so if you oneshot the Dargyn with your biggest gun you will likely kill the pilot at the same time and it will not count! You need to destroy the Dargyn carefully without killing the pilot and then quickly kill him while falling. This can be very frustrating to do.

I got lucky and killed the pilot a couple of times by flying close to him and melee the Dargyn and pilot using my Archwing but the next several tries did not count as the pilot died too fast.

I then tried using Equinox build for max range and used her Rest ability to put both the Dargyn and pilot to sleep which make it easier to carefully destroy the Dargyn and then kill the pilot as he is falling. If you don’t have Equinox yet you could also try Rhino‘s Stomp ability to CC the Dargyn or a Slow Nova build or any other Warframe with good CC abilities.

However, the best way for me has been using Nidus build for max range; simply cast his #2 Larva ability as the Dargyn fly close to you and the tendrils will pull the pilot out of the Dargyn but still hold him up in the air so you can easily one-shot him. Almost too easy this way…

Kela De Thaym

Kela De Thaym

Kela De Thaym is the assassination target on Merrow, Sedna. She is one of the more challenging boss fights until you learn the fight, then it gets very easy – especially if you have the right tools for the job…

If you are farming Kela De Thaym for Saryn blueprints I recommend you go solo using Mesa or Mesa Prime and simply “press 4 to win“…

In order to gain access to Kela De Thaym you must first grind 25 Judgment Points by winning the arenas Nakki (Lv 40), Yam (Lv 60) or Vodyanoi (lv 85); if you successfully defeat Kela De Thaym and finish the mission you will however get 13 Judgment Points back. Grinding the Judgment Points from the arenas quickly become boring but the actual boss fight is worth the wait as it has some fun mechanics.

When you get to Merrow you first have to fight your way towards the boss. The enemies are only level 35-40 so it should not be a problem. When you get to the arena where you will be fighting Kela De Thaym you will notice a large circular platform on the ground with four small circular pads – step on top of the one with a light and shot at the turning disc on the wall – aim for the green light. This will raise the platform and start the fight.

Hint: Equip a Ignis Wraith (or normal Ignis) with Shred mod in order to hit the green light without aiming!

Phase 1:

Kela De Thaym is very agile and will jump from platform to platform while firing rockets – do not stand still, keep moving and bullet jumping to avoid damage! If you are playing Mesa, be prepared to press 4 and nuke the boss as soon as she finish talking and starts fighting. Some adds will also show up during this phase but you can just ignore them when playing Mesa – she will nuke both adds and the boss with her #4 ability.

Phase 2:

After Kela De Thaym has taken some damage she will jump up on a higher platform and a countdown for an Orbital Strike begins. Switch to your operator form before the countdown ends and quickly enter Void mode to avoid taking damage. As soon as the Orbital Strike ends, switch back to your warframe, stand on a glowing pad and aim for the green light behind the rotating disc on the wall – if you are playing solo you must quickly repeat this for all four pads to avoid another Orbital Strike; in a public group each member should stand on a pad and shoot the nearest green light.

These two phases repeat until you finally kills Kela De Thaym. Notice that during the fight more and more platforms will disappear making it harder to jump around avoiding damage. With Mesa you can just stand your ground, wait for the boss and nuke her with your Peacemaker ability.

Mutalist Alad V

Mutalist Alad V

Mutalist Alad V is the assassination target on Erris. He drops blueprints for the Mesa warframe.

In order to gain access to Mutalist Alad V you must first complete the Patient Zero quest and then craft a Mutalist Alad V Assassination Key with the blueprint you get from that quest. This blueprint requires Mutalist Alad V Nav Coordinates, which is a battle pay reward from Infested Invasions but can also be acquired from Orokin Derelict Survival and Defense missions.

Notice that Alad V is invulnerable when he has his collar equipped around his neck. During the fight he will throw the collar on a random player and mindcontrol him/her; this can wipe the entire team if a Warframe with a powerful DPS ability gets mind controlled!

I recommend using Loki to farm Mesa’s blueprint as he is very fast and efficient for this fight. Use a stealth build and equip a powerful sniper rifle. Sprint/bulletjump/cloak your way through all the trash NPC’s and hurry to the boss. When you get to Mutalist Alad V, cloak and place a Decoy or a Specter to keep him occupied – then aim with you sniper rifle and wait for the moment when he becomes vulnerable (i.e. when he removes his collar and either holds it in his hand or throw it at a Specter or team member), then quickly nuke him.

Riven Challenge: Kill 16 Enemies that are on a Dropship while Aim Glide

Riven Challenge: Kill 16 Enemies that are on a Dropship while Aim Glide

This Riven challenge is super easy if you have Equinox: Just build for max Range + Strength then some Duration and Efficiency. The Equinox Prime build below is a zero Forma build and works fine for this challenge. It focus on Range + Strength but also some Duration and Efficiency. Battering Maneuver give us a little longer Aim Glide duration – with some Forma we could use Patagium instead, which would give us much longer Aim Glide duration. But it is actually not necessary for this challenge.

Make sure to equip the veiled Riven mod and start the Tessera Defence mission on Venus in solo mode. Use an Energy Restore to fill up your energy bar before starting (i.e. before you go to the defence target). Make sure you are in Day form (default), then cast the #4 Mend & Main ability and just run around the looting energy orbs as the enemies die. As soon as the last enemy is killed a drop ship will show up – quickly bullet-jump and aim-glide.

This mission has at least three different tile sets but on each one I have tried, the drop ship always show up immediately after first wave so be ready! On some tile sets another drop ship show up during 5th wave.

You will likely not get all the required kills in one mission, so just finish the mission and extract after wave 5 (or abort if you prefer) – then repeat the mission again one or twice more until the Riven is unveiled.

Riven Challenge: Kill 11 Enemies with Headshots from at least 100m away…

Riven Challenge: Kill 11 Enemies with Headshots from at least 100m away…

This Riven challenge is rather easy but may still take some time to unveil because it involves a lot of moving around to make sure you are 100+ meters away before you take the headshot. 100 m is actually much longer than you might think! I prefer to do this challenge on the Plains of Eidolon bt you can also go to Orb Vallis if you prefer; there are also several missions where it should be possible to get some headshots from 100m away but I highly recommend one of the open worlds as that is much faster.

Most important for this challenge is a sniper rifle with a powerful zoom so you can land those headshots from 100m away:  Both Lanka and Vulkar have a 8x zoom, which is very useful for this challenge. I used a Vectis Prime because I like the fast reload but it only has 6x zoom – for this reason I equipped the Eagle Eye mod which results in a nice 8,4x zoom.

You can use whatever Warframe you like but it is much easier/faster to do if you are able to remain undetected by enemies. I have done this Riven challenge several times now and in my experience Loki + the Itzal archwing + Vectis Prime is my favorite setup for this challenge!

Loki can stay cloaked for a long time and is able to move quickly around while cloaked. Also, the Hushed Invisibility augment mod allow you to fire your sniper rifle without alerting the the enemies, which makes it much easier to keep them at that 100m distance!

If you have the Itzal Archwing quickly fly to the nearest camp and look for enemies – move at least 100m away (change range by zooming with your sniper) and then use the #2 Penumbra ability to cloak – drop an Energy Restore if needed while you remain stationary and cloaked.

Remember to equip the Riven mod and also equip some Energy Restore on your gear wheel to replenish your energy. Switch to solo mode and head to Plains of Eidolon – there should be plenty of enemies near the various Grineer camps.

Loki Stealth Build

I recommend you build Loki for max Duration in order to stay cloaked for as long as possible: Stack mods like Continuity or Primed Continuity, Augur Message, Narrow Minded, Constitution.

Also add Streamline for some extra efficiency and the Flow or Primed Flow for more energy – this allows you to recast your Invisibility ability more often before you need to resupply your energy. I also recommend using the Energy Siphon aura mod to replenish your energy.

Remember to equip the Hushed Invisibility augment.

Finally, you can add some sprint speed or bullet jump mods in order to quickly move around the map and get into position for the kills.

Riven Challenge: Kill 62 enemies without dying or becoming downed

Riven Challenge: Kill 62 enemies without dying or becoming downed

This Riven challenge is very easy and can actually be done with any Warframe you are comfortable with, especially if you select a low-level mission. Equip your favorite weapon and also remember to equip the Riven mod!

If you are new to Warframe then just pick a tanky warframe like Rhino, Inaros or Nezha and jump into any endless mission you prefer e.g. Excavation, Defence, Survival etc.

Good luck Tenno!

Riven Challenge: Catch 4-6 fish without missing a throw…

Riven Challenge: Catch 4-6 fish without missing a throw…

Do you really need any hints on how to finish this Riven Challenge? If you haven’t done any fishing before then read a fishing guide first.

This challenge only takes a few minutes and can be done with any Warframe you prefer. Remember to equip your Riven and also a fishing spear. I recommend you also equip some Luminous Dye in order to make it easier to aim your spear at the fish. You don’t need any bait however, you can just catch some of the common fish for this challenge.

Head to Plains of Eidolon (or Orb Vallis if you prefer) and take your Archwing or run to your favorite fishing spot. Now take your time – only throw the spear when you are 100% certain you are gonna catch the fish, don’t take chances with fast moving fish, only try with slow moving fish close to your fishing spot. If you miss a throw the challenge will reset – however, if you just take it easy you can easily complete this challenge in your first try.

Some variations of this challenge require you to catch X fish in a row without being downed or killed, so make sure to kill any nearby enemies first before you start fishing.

Riven Challenge: Find 12-15 Syndicate Medallions…

Riven Challenge: Find 12-15 Syndicate Medallions…

This Riven Challenge is easy to do with any Warframe you like – just make sure you equip some mods that will increase your Loot Radar range e.g. Thief’s Wit, Animal Instinct, Primed Animal Instinct etc. – this will allow you to see containers with loot as white rectangles on the mini map and will also show Syndicate medallions (and Ayatan treasures and caches) as white rectangles.

Start a Syndicate mission in Solo mode and use your mini map to check every loot container on the map. If you are not familiar with the map I recommend that you break the containers and loot the items – this will make the container disappear from your mini map so you don’t risk running and checking the same spot twice. After you have run a specific map a few times you start to get an idea where the Syndicate medallions may spawn. Also notice that Syndicate medallions often spawn at the same locations as Ayatan treasures so try to remember those spawn locations. After a while you learn which rooms are likely spawn locations and which you can just skip.

The easy way to find those Syndicate medallions (and Ayatan treasures) is to use a Warframe with an ability that can break all nearby containers, which will save you some time. Limbo modded for Range and Efficiency can spam his Cataclysm ability in order to break all nearby containers – see my “CataBomb” build below for an example. On low level missions the Cataclysm will also kill nearby enemies so you don’t have to waste time fighting them. Use the Vacuum or Fetch mod on your companion to have them assist in picking up any loot from the broken containers, then check your map – if there is still nearby white rectangles on your map it might be a Syndicate medallion – go check it out!

This build focus on maximizing the range of Limbo’s Cataclysm ability and be able to spam it over and over. Notice there are no Health/Shield/Armor mods in this build so it is not recommended to use against high level enemies!

When running around searching for Syndicate medallions I prefer to open the large overlay map (press-and-hold the M button) which gives you a better overview of where there are nearby containers to check out. As you get close press the #4 Cataclysm ability, run near the loot to pick it up and check your map – if there are still nearby white rectangles on your map as in the screen-captures below it is likely a Syndicate medallion.

Notice: If you get the variant of this challenge where you need to find a number of Syndicate Medallions without dying or being downed, you must be very careful – if you get killed your progress will be reset and you have to start all over again! Remember as Limbo you can always quickly roll into the Void plane and run away from enemies overwhelming you to avoid getting killed.

Riven Challenge: Complete a Defence mission with level 30 or higher enemies with the defence target taking no damage

Riven Challenge: Complete a Defence mission with level 30 or higher enemies with the defence target taking no damage

The easy way to do this is use Limbo build for Duration + Range (see example build below). Akkad on Eris (Infested Defence lv 35-45) is a good choice for this Riven Challenge.

I recommend doing the mission solo. Before you approach the mission target you should fill up your energy bar with an Energy Restore so you are prepared to use you 2+4 combo immediately. You may also drop some Specters to assist you if you want to make this challenge even easier.

When the first wave starts immediately cast Limbo’s 2+4 combo: the Stasis and Cataclysm abilities. With the build shown below the Cataclysm should be up for the entire wave; however you must keep an eye on the timer on the Stasis ability and recast it when it times out – you can also cancel it and recast when the timer is nearly out and there are no enemies nearby to avoid the risk of enemies damaging the mission target while you recast Stasis.

Assist your Specters in killing any enemy that gets frozen in your Cataclysm bubble.

When the wave ends cancel you Stasis + Cataclysm by pressing the ability buttons again – then wait for the next wave to start and cast your 2+4 combo again. Repeat until you can exit mission after wave 5.

Riven Challenge: Complete an extermination mission with level 30 or higher enemies without being detected

Riven Challenge: Complete an extermination mission with level 30 or higher enemies without being detected

The easy way to unveil this Riven is to use a stealth Warframe to avoid detection, e.g. Loki or Ivara.

Personally I prefer using Loki as he is able to move around much faster and can sprint and bulletjump while remaining cloaked; this allows me to finish the mission much faster than with other stealth warframes. With the Hushed Invisibility mod I can even equip my favorite sniper rifle and pick off guards at a safe distance without alarming the other guards with weapon noise.

If you prefer to play Ivara I recommend you equip the Infiltrate augment mod as this will allow you to move slightly faster and also allow you to walk through laser barriers without being detected. Also make sure to equip a silent weapon like a bow to avoid alarming the guards.

In both cases, make sure to mod your Warframe for max Duration and Efficiency and also consider using the Flow or Primed Flow mod in order to remain cloaked for as long as possible before you have to use Energy Restore‘s.

Oxomoco in The Void is recommended for this mission, as there are no alarms in The Void 😉

Don’t try to rush the mission – pay attention to nearby enemies, don’t take risks but kill them from a safe distance while cloaked. Make sure to pay attention to your remaining energy; if it gets low then find a safe place, uncloak and drop an Energy Restore, wait for it to fully restore your energy bar and then cloak again and continue. Good luck Tenno!

This Loki build is my go-to build for stealth missions, it is not optimized for this specific Riven challenge but worked fine when unveiling this Riven.

Consider swapping the Armored Agility or Vigor with a Flow or Primed Flow mod and swap Corrosive Projection with Energy Siphon to reduce the number of breaks needed to replenish your energy bar. The Speed Drift mod gives you a little more sprint speed and also allow you to cast your Invisibility ability a little faster.

Btw: my Loki “Riven Challenge” build is actually for another Riven challenge where you need kill X enemies while doing a wall latch, not for this Riven…
